COBRA Administration

Does Your Company Need COBRA Administration?

If your company has 20 or more full or part-time equivalent employees, the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (or COBRA) is an “employee right” that you must comply with. COBRA laws are complex, have changed often and making a mistake can be very costly. Get it wrong, and your company could be liable for employee or dependent health insurance claims, ERISA fines of up to $110 per employee per day of noncompliance and IRS excise taxes of up to $200 per day, if dependents are involved. Because we deal with COBRA administration every day, you can trust us to help you get it right.

Personal Service at an Affordable Price

Through Small Business Insurance Services, LLC (SBIS), we manage all matters relating to COBRA administration on behalf of members enrolled in the program - for a low monthly cost with no initial set-up fees.

Once enrolled, your company is assigned a personal COBRA Coordinator who will service you and your company's COBRA enrolled beneficiaries. Your COBRA Coordinator sends all necessary letters and notifications, provides your company with a monthly activity report and online access to your account, collects premium payments from the COBRA-enrolled beneficiaries, and helps with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network claims. We make it easy for you to communicate with our COBRA coordinators when you have a qualifying event, so you're sure to stay compliant with the ever-changing Department Of Labor laws and regulations.
