Okay, Now What Do I Do? – Identifying and Overcoming Barriers for the Newly Established Entrepreneurs

This workshop will provide a structured, collaborative environment where newly established small business owners can identify and address real-time growth challenges. Through a blend of peer-to-peer learning, facilitated discussions, and expert mentorship, participants will develop actionable strategies tailored to their specific business needs.

This workshop will be held in-person at SBAM (101 S. Washington Sq., Suite 900, Lansing, MI 48933) on August 20, from 9:00am to 12:00pm with virtual sessions to be held on September 3, September 7, and October 1, from 10:00am to 11:30am. You must attend the in-person session and at least one virtual session to receive credit for the course. The workshop minimum is 5 people and limited to 12 people.

This hands-on workshop is designed to help small business owners and decision-makers strengthen strategic decision-making, foster innovation, and drive sustainable growth. Led by an experienced small business owner, the course provides a safe, collaborative space for entrepreneurs to challenge assumptions, test ideas, and gain honest, constructive feedback.

Participants will engage in interactive sessions focused on solving real business challenges brought forward by members of the cohort. Through peer-to-peer engagement, facilitated problem-solving, and collective learning, attendees will leave with actionable strategies tailored to their business needs.

This workshop would be beneficial to owners or decision-makers of small businesses that have one or more of the following characteristics:
• Have established operations and have positive cash flow.
• Are generating revenue and managing a team.
• Are encountering early growth-related hurdles (e.g., scaling operations, leadership, procedure development, compliance, market expansion, goal setting).
