Building Business Success in the Age of AI

July 19, 2026

Small Business Weekly Podcast – Episode 536 (12:27)

Building business success in the age of AI means balancing technological innovation with strong organizational fundamentals.

On a recent episode of The Small Business Weekly Podcast, Michael Rogers talks with Jeremy Lopatin, Professional EOS Implementer at EOS Worldwide, about how businesses can strengthen their organizations while navigating the opportunities and challenges presented by artificial intelligence.

Lopatin, who is based in southeast Michigan and is a VIP member of the Small Business Association of Michigan, says that many business challenges can be addressed by focusing on six core components: vision, people, data, issues, process, and traction.

At the center of his approach is the belief that organizations perform best when leaders focus on strengthening the foundational elements of their business. By improving these six areas, companies can resolve underlying issues that often show up as symptoms such as misalignment, inefficiency, or stalled growth.

The conversation also explores the growing impact of AI in the workplace. Lopatin explains that AI is already helping businesses operate with greater scale, efficiency, and insight than ever before.

“AI is already bringing in incredible increases in our capacity to do a lot of things at scale that we’ve never been able to do before, such as having greater insight into certain topics and executing with more precision or confidence,” Lopatin says.

While he sees tremendous potential in AI, Lopatin cautions against relying on technology for responsibilities that require human judgment, leadership, and emotional intelligence. He believes business owners should embrace AI as a tool while remaining focused on the human connections that drive successful teams and cultures.

As AI continues to evolve, Lopatin encourages leaders to take advantage of its capabilities without losing sight of the people, processes, and purpose that ultimately determine long-term business success.
