Yes. As a business owner myself, I know firsthand how important consistency and predictability are when it comes to operating and growing a business. Allowing more than 1,800 local units of government to create their own wage and labor regulations would create unnecessary complexity, increase compliance costs, and make it harder for employers to invest, hire, and expand.
