INC Systems Named 2026 Energy Champion by Small Business Association of Michigan

June 25, 2026

The award was presented at SBAM’s annual meeting

LANSING, MI – The Small Business Association of Michigan honored Grand Blanc-based INC Systems and its president Aaron Hamp with its 2026 Energy Champion award.

Hamp and his team were honored for their dedication to improving energy efficiency to strengthen their company, through utilization of the Small Business Energy Solutions program. After reaching out for an energy assessment through the program, INC was connected to Consumers Energy, who was able to apply rebates and reduce unnecessary paperwork for the company to update 180 fixtures in their facilities.

“Aaron and the team at INC Systems are a great example of what can happen when small businesses utilize available resources to improve their operations,” said SBAM President and CEO Brian Calley. “By taking advantage of the Small Business Energy Solutions program, INC Systems was able to update 180 light fixtures while saving money and avoiding paperwork.”

INC Systems is a Grand Blanc-based technology services company that has been serving clients for more than 20 years, helping businesses manage and improve their technology through managed IT services, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, IT consulting, and communications support. The company works as a technology partner for businesses and nonprofits, helping reduce downtime, improve productivity, and keep critical systems running smoothly.

“Michigan’s small businesses play an important role in creating jobs, supporting communities and driving our state’s economy, and Consumers Energy is proud to help them find ways to save energy and operate more efficiently,” said Jeff Mayes, Consumers Energy’s Executive Director of Business Customer Service and Programs. “INC Systems shows how businesses can use energy-saving solutions and available incentives to reduce costs while continuing to grow. We encourage other businesses to explore these opportunities and see the benefits for themselves.”

The award was presented on June 18 during SBAM’s annual meeting in East Lansing.
