MSHDA board names new executive director

October 30, 2012

As the new executive director at the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA), Scott Woosley plans to focus on spurring investment growth, increasing homeownership and revitalizing Michigan’s downtowns and neighborhoods. Woosley, a Rochester real estate developer and financier, was unanimously appointed to lead the agency that promotes community development and affordable housing by MSHDA’s board on Wednesday, Oct. 24 – a move that was lauded by Gov. Rick Snyder.

“I applaud the MSHDA board’s action and am pleased to welcome Scott Woosley to this important post,” Snyder said. “Scott is a great choice to lead MSHDA into the future, and I am confident his background and knowledge will help to effectively support the authority’s mission.”

The board’s appointment of Wosley, a Michigan Fast Track Land Bank Authority board member who has more than 25 years of real estate and investment experience, becomes effective Nov. 1.
