In this course participants will learn how to master the tools and techniques for financial analysis. They will also learn how to conduct thorough ROI analyses to support business decisions.
This course will be held virtually on October 16, from 9:00am to 12:30pm. The course is limited to 12 grant participants.
Upon completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
• Understand key financial ratios and performance metrics.
• Learn simple ROI, net present value (NPV), and internal rate of return (IRR).
• Evaluate the financial implications of projects and investments.
• Identify financial risks in investment decisions and how to mitigate them.
Participants can earn a Finance Fundamentals Micro-Certification through the American Society of Employers by attending this course and the following courses (Participants may also attend individual sessions for credit and not pursue the micro-certification.):
• Accounting Fundamentals on August 12 from 9:00am-12:30pm
• Budgeting Techniques on September 24 from 9:00am-12:30pm
• Financial Analysis and ROI on October 16 from 9:00am-12:30pm
• Finance for Non-Finance People on November 19 from 10:00am-3:30pm
