The Small Business Association of Michigan is proud to congratulate Patti Eisenbraun, a longtime small business advocate and member of SBAM’s Board of Directors, on her appointment by Governor Gretchen Whitmer to the Michigan Craft Beverage Council.
Eisenbraun, managing member of Brown Iron Brewery in Royal Oak and Washington Township, has been a strong voice for Michigan’s small business community. Her commitment to advocating for entrepreneurs and small business owners was also recognized in 2023, when she was named SBAM’s Small Business Advocate of the Year.
In her new role, Eisenbraun will represent restaurants holding a Class C license that serve Michigan wine, beer or spirits. Her term begins Oct. 29, 2026, and continues through Sept. 30, 2029.
The Michigan Craft Beverage Council supports the continued growth of Michigan’s craft beverage industry and the agricultural businesses that help make it possible. Its work includes supporting research involving wine, hops, barley, beer and spirits, conducting market analysis and advancing programs that strengthen the agricultural components of the industry.
For SBAM, Eisenbraun’s appointment is another opportunity for a small business owner to bring firsthand experience and the perspective of Michigan entrepreneurs to the table. Patti’s appointment is also a great reminder that small business owners can make a difference beyond their own businesses. SBAM encourages members to consider applying to serve on state boards and commissions and bring the voice of small business to the table.
