SBAM recognizes leaders, volunteers at annual meeting

Nearly 400 small business owners and supporters attended the Small Business Association of Michigan’s (SBAM) 48th annual meeting on June 15 in Lansing.

SBAM recognized State Senator Jim Stamas as its Legislator of the Year. SBAM honored Bonnie Alfonso, owner of Alfie Logo Gear in Traverse City as Advocate of the Year.

2017-18 SBAM board officers were introduced at the event:
• Chair: Russ Knopp, Comfort Keepers, Traverse City 
• 1st Vice Chair: Chad Paalman, NuWave Technology Partners, Lansing 
• 2nd Vice Chair: Milan Gandhi, Med-Share, Inc., Southfield
• Treasurer: Bill Kimble, C2AE, Lansing
• Secretary: Lorri Rishar, Edge Partnerships, Lansing
• Immediate Past Chair: Kathie Fuce-Hobohm, SPACE, Inc., Midland
