LANSING, MI – The Small Business Association of Michigan’s Small Biz PAC Board today announced candidate endorsements for the upcoming special elections in the Michigan House of Representatives.
The Small Biz PAC Board has endorsed Mai Xiong in the 13th House District and Peter Herzberg in the 25th House District.
Xiong and Herzberg have demonstrated that the importance of workforce development and education issues are pivotal as Michigan moves forward. SBAM is a strong proponent of business and education working together, as well as supporting Michigan Reconnect, Going Pro and supports for childcare.
“Having strong leaders at the Capitol who support and advocate for small businesses is critical to our success,” said SBAM President and CEO Brian Calley. “The Small Biz PAC Board is proud to endorse Mai Xiong and Peter Herzberg as they are the right candidates to represent small businesses in the Michigan House of Representatives.”
Mai Xiong is running to represent the 13th House District, including parts of Warren and Detroit. She currently serves on the Macomb County Board of Commissioners, is a graduate of the Michigan Political Leadership Program, Harvard Kennedy School, College of Creative Studies, and Macomb Community College.
Peter Herzberg is running to serve the residents of the 25th House District which represents Westland. Herzberg has served as a Westland City Council member since 2016 and has a finance degree from Wayne State University.
The Small Biz PAC is the political action committee of the Small Business Association of Michigan, which endorses candidates who have demonstrated support for Michigan’s small business community, regardless of political party.
