Upcoming Compliance Deadlines Employers Shouldn’t Miss This April

April 5, 2026

April 30, 2026—Remove OSHA Form 300A (Summary of Work-related Injuries and Illnesses)

If you were required to post OSHA Form 300A, April 30 marks the end of the mandatory display period.

What this means for employers:

  • OSHA Form 300A summarizes work‑related injuries and illnesses from the 2025 calendar year.
  • The form must be posted in a visible workplace location from February 1 through April 30, 2026.
  • Employers may remove the posting any time on or after April 30, 2026.

Who is exempt?

  • Companies with 10 or fewer employees
  • Employers in partially exempt industries

If your organization falls under OSHA’s recordkeeping requirements, be sure the form has remained posted through April 30 before removing it.

April 30, 2026—File Form 941, Employer’s Quarterly Federal Tax Return

Employers must also file Form 941, Employer’s Quarterly Federal Tax Return, by April 30, 2026.

Form 941 is used to report:

  • Federal income tax withheld from employee paychecks
  • Social Security tax
  • Medicare tax

These amounts cover wages paid during January, February, and March 2026.

Extended filing deadline If your company deposited all required taxes on time, you qualify for an extended filing deadline. Since the standard extension date falls on a weekend, the adjusted deadline is Monday, May 11, 2026.
