  • As leaders and business owners, we are called to inspire others. In order for us to inspire others, we need to be inspired ourselves. You may have heard it said, we can not give what we don’t have. Let’s identify 5 habits for creating your personal energy plan that keeps you fueled to persevere and inspire those you lead.

9:15am | What You Need to Know About Cryptocurrency Presented by Shane Hansen, Warner Norcross + Judd

Derek Dickow’s 5 Pillars of Purpose-Driven Networking simplifies networking and will arm even the shyest person with the tools to walk into a networking event with confidence.

11:15am | Anatomy of a Brand Presented by Camron Gnass, Traction

  • A brand is what people say about you when you are not around, it’s much more than a logo and the tagline. Explore the 5 brand pillars and how they all can (and should) work together.

About the Keynote Presentation

There is a life cycle to business ownership. How does an owner know when it is the best time to move on, whether that be through a managed succession plan, planned family transition or unexpected opportunity?

SBAM will explore this decision process during a moderated panel discussion that features various transition experiences from:

  • Gina Thorsen, President of Stormy Kromer. Gina works alongside her father and sister, and she’ll explore the dynamics of a family business, iconic brand, and how they’re planning for the future.
  • Chris Shepler, who recently sold his Mackinac Island ferry business, Shepler’s Ferry, after 77 years in the Shepler family. How did this decision get reached and what is next?
  • David Rhoa recently sold Marana Group, his family business, when a ‘too good to pass up’ offer was made. What has his experience been like during this quick succession?
