SBAM’s General Election Statement

November 9, 2022

Continuing our bipartisan efforts to support and strengthen small businesses in Michigan, SBAM played an active role in yesterday’s election, working across the political spectrum. Our Small Biz PAC engaged in dozens of races, and we are proud that many of our endorsed candidates were successful in seeking office. We also celebrate the passage of SBAM-supported Proposal 1. SBAM is ready to work with the incoming legislature in the new term on pro-small business policies.

SBAM extends our congratulations to Governor Whitmer on her re-election as we continue our work with her to foster an environment where small businesses can grow and thrive.

“Michigan’s small businesses are clear drivers of our economy,” added SBAM President & CEO Brian Calley. “Small businesses need skilled people to thrive. People need communities that are growing and present opportunities to them. And communities need small businesses to thrive. SBAM is committed to working with elected officials on both sides of the aisle to advance policies that unleash the potential of Michigan’s small businesses.”
