coverageforcompaniesSM is a new opportunity for you to take your customer’s health plans to a new level. It allows your clients with 2-50 eligible employees the opportunity to offer their employees Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) and Blue Care Network (BCN) group coverage through a customized website.

This tool is free to you and your clients. Unlike other tools, there are no administration or user fees.  SBAM’s consolidated billing and enrollment system enhances your customer’s experience further.  Regardless of the number of plans selected by employees, with SBAM your customer will receive one bill, once per month and write one check.  SBAM will handle the carrier split of premiums behind the scenes.  This further enhances your customer’s experience with simpler administration.

With coverageforcompaniesSM, your clients can offer their employees flexible and affordable coverage through a private exchange, while maintaining predictable costs.  In contrast to traditional “one size fits all” group plans, coverageforcompaniesSM allows employees to log onto their customized employer- and employee-branded coverageforemployeesSM website to shop for benefits with their defined contribution dollars. They choose the plan that best suits their needs and budget.

Employers choose a suite of products (there are five available in most areas) that best fits the needs of their employees, then they determine a defined contribution percentage that they will contribute to the cost of the employee’s premium.
